BRAUER INDUSTRIES HAS RAISED THE STANDARDS FOR POOL WATER QUALITY

Laurie Lawrence Swim School Banora Point has raised the standards for pool water quality

Upon beginning their recent tenure at the Banora Point facility there were a number of problems with the plant room which impacted the quality of the water.  Running standard ORP controllers and using Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrochloric Acid as the chemicals it was a typical swim school plant room.

In order to obtain optimum water quality results Ozone 1 installed a unique four step total solution.

What Ozone 1 have been able to create by this installation is a very stable level of pool water quality.  By conducting a full dpd1 test every four minutes the chemical controller is able to better monitor and maintain the chlorine level specifically, not just the potential chlorine level.  This greater control is also recorded within the device, and is set-up so that the data can be accessed via a remote monitor.

The Ozone system destroys all pathogens before the chlorine is utilised so the combined chlorine levels that cause so much discomfort to swimmers and staff are no longer present in the same quantities.  The CO2 has resulted in a much better level of water balance with less additional chemicals being required.

“I always thought that I had good swimming pool water and maybe to a point I did.  What I have now though is excellent swimming pool water.  My water looks like glass and my pool hall is not filled with any form of odour.  I have teachers excited about getting in the water and not suffering with any form of skin irritation, but what is even better is my customers are noticing the difference.  I honestly could not be any happier with the team at Ozone 1 and the quality of their workmanship.  I cannot speak any higher of them”  Laurie LawrenceWe would like to extend our appreciation to Laurie Lawrence and his Banora Point Swimming School for embracing our total solution.

It is general perception that swimming pools smell, and that even after showering you and all those around you know that you have been for a swim.  This smell isn’t from the chlorine to disinfect your pool, but rather from the chlorine that has been used, known as combined chlorine.  Swim schools have a high bather load, hence constantly have pollutants added throughout the course of the day.

The combined chlorine levels in the pool continues to increase and reaches a point that eyes become sore and irritated and rashes can form especially on your staff that are exposed to your water the longest.  Is it a coincidence that swim teachers and coaches often lose their voice?  Perhaps you have spent time and money developing a great team only to have your water let you down by having staff that can no longer tolerate being in the water?
